Guadalupe de la Toja, his maternal grandmother, was considered by Fabio Trujillo (one of the top trainers in the world) as the best mare he had ever seen and ridden. She beat the mare Candelita del Triangulo, National and World Champion, ridden by David Castro and judged by two top Colombian judges from Colombia. Guadalupe de la Toja came from one of Don Fabio Ochoa’s favorite bloodlines on the maternal side. Juan Diego has the potential to be a World Contender.
